Golf course chemical drift: Markland Wood Golf Club maintains its fairways, greens, and rough with professional-grade fertilizers, herbicides, and fungicides — applied regularly from April through October. Chemical drift from these applications reaches adjacent homes, particularly on windy days. This creates a film on windows that's different from natural pollen: it's sticky, bonds aggressively to glass, and can contain compounds that accelerate seal degradation if left uncleaned.
