Terms of Service

1. Services

Mantle Home Services ("Mantle," "we," "us") provides residential and commercial window cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, and related exterior home maintenance services in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario, Canada.

2. Estimates & Pricing

All estimates are provided free of charge and are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Final pricing may vary from the estimate if:

  • The scope of work changes at the customer's request
  • Conditions not visible during the estimate are discovered (e.g., excessive buildup, difficult access, damaged screens)
  • Additional services are requested on-site

Any changes to the quoted price will be communicated and approved by the customer before work proceeds.

3. Satisfaction Guarantee

We guarantee your satisfaction with our work. If you are not completely happy with the results:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of service completion
  • We will return to re-clean the affected areas at no additional charge
  • If the re-clean still doesn't meet your expectations, you will not be charged for the unsatisfactory portion of the service

This guarantee does not apply to issues caused by weather events occurring after service completion (e.g., rain, pollen, or wind-blown debris).

4. Scheduling & Cancellations

  • Booking: Appointments are confirmed via text message or email. A confirmed booking reserves your time slot.
  • Cancellation: We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Last-minute cancellations may be subject to a rebooking fee for future appointments.
  • Weather: If inclement weather prevents safe or effective service, we will reschedule at the next available time at no additional cost. We will notify you by text or phone.
  • Access: If we arrive at the scheduled time and cannot access the property (locked gate, no one home for interior service), a trip charge may apply.

5. Payment

  • Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise arranged
  • Accepted methods: e-Transfer (preferred), cash, credit/debit card (Square)
  • For jobs over $500, a 25% deposit may be required at booking
  • HST (13%) will be added where applicable
  • Outstanding balances over 30 days may be subject to a 2% monthly late fee

6. Property Access & Preparation

To ensure the best results, we ask that customers:

  • Secure or relocate pets away from the work area
  • Remove fragile items from window sills (interior cleaning)
  • Provide access to all windows, gutters, or surfaces to be cleaned
  • Inform us of any property concerns (loose screens, cracked glass, alarm systems, sprinkler systems)
  • Ensure we have access to an outdoor water source if required for pressure washing

7. Liability & Insurance

Mantle carries commercial general liability insurance. In the unlikely event of property damage caused by our team during service:

  • We will document and photograph the damage immediately
  • Minor damage will be repaired or compensated directly
  • Major damage will be handled through our insurance provider
  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, defective window seals, or damage caused by normal wear and aging

8. Safety

Mantle reserves the right to decline or discontinue service if conditions are deemed unsafe, including but not limited to:

  • High winds, lightning, or heavy rain
  • Unstable or inaccessible surfaces
  • Aggressive animals on the property
  • Structural concerns with windows, gutters, or roofing

If we determine a job cannot be safely completed, we will inform the customer and reschedule or adjust the scope of work.

9. Photography & Reviews

With your permission, we may photograph our work for marketing purposes (before/after images, social media, website). We will always ask before photographing and will never include identifying information (address numbers, license plates, faces) without explicit consent.

We may ask for a Google review after service. This is entirely voluntary and has no impact on your service or pricing.

10. Membership Programs

Mantle membership programs are billed monthly. Members may cancel at any time with no penalty or cancellation fee. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Any services already scheduled within the paid period will be honored.

11. Limitation of Liability

Mantle's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available at callmantle.ca/terms. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
